Managing DVM
Dr. Travis Rollason
Dr. Travis Rollason was born in sunny San Diego, California where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology at San Diego State University, graduating summa cum laude in 2012. While an undergraduate, Dr. Rollason worked as a veterinary assistant, and also participated in organized veterinary relief work to communities in Mexico organizing surgical procedures and providing medical care for animals in underserved areas. In 2017, Dr. Rollason achieved his lifelong dream of becoming a small animal veterinarian by completing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University California, Davis. Dr. Rollason embarked on a new adventure and moved to Baton Rouge in early 2025 where he joined Jefferson Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian. He chose to join our team because our values align so well with his own. He considers pets as members of the family and believes that the human-animal bond is a very special component. He loves using modern medicine to improve the lives of both his patients and clients. His interests in the field of veterinary medicine include ophthalmology, internal medicine, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and preventative medicine. Dr. Rollason is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and is accredited by the U.S Department of Agriculture. Outside the hospital, Dr. Rollason enjoys personal time with his family, friends, and two pugs named Huckleberry and Abraham. His hobbies include Peloton workouts, as well as traveling internationally to experience different cultures and taste different cuisines. Dr. Rollason has a minor obsession with Taylor Swift's music and he hopes you do too.
